MPC pavilion

MPC is interested in how augmented reality could change the design and construction industry, with the addition of 3D printing and a collaborative process. Through technological advancements, we were able to virtually collaborate via fologram (a mixed reality application)  to customise a pavilion design. With the application of grasshopper scripts, we arrived at MPC, a mass participatory collaborative application which allowed our group of three to create a pavilion design from the comfort of our living rooms.

The use of 3D printing allowed for our customised designs to be brought to reality, allowing us to achieve the ultimate complexity and detail of each unique, independent component used to achieve the desired outcome.

This project was completed as part of the Monash University, Telepresent Assemblies studio directed by Sean Guy.
